SUGA Joins “Innopreneur Experience Journey” Cohort 3 Provides Internship Opportunities to Local Youth Jointly Build Future of Innovative Technology in Hong Kong

SUGA International Holdings Limited ("SUGA" or the "Group", stock code: 912 ), a leading electronics total solutions provider also operating a pet food and pet accessories business, has recently participated as a corporate mentor in “Innopreneur Experience Journey” Cohort 3, to provide internship opportunities to local youth, allowing them to enrich their knowledge of innovative technologies and broaden their perspective, laying the foundation for them to work and thrive in the innovative technology sector.
 
As a corporate mentor, SUGA provided internships to two students from Valtorta College, letting them experience developing an AI receptionist. In two working days, they tried using the Image-generating and text-generating AI to come up with product concepts and product designs. In addition, they learnt how to use such cutting-edge technological tools as 3D modelling software, and for 3D drawing, 3D model making and 3D printing.
 
Jointly organised by the Federation of Hong Kong Industries and Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation, the “Innopreneur Experience Journey” programme is in its third year. In the past three years, 30 schools, more than 150 students, and 80 companies joined the programme. The organisers said the aim of the programme is to inspire young people, as well as let them learn about the status of new industrialisation including usage of AI and automated operations. The two-day work experience journey this year had more than 80 pupils from local secondary schools worked at 32 FHKI member companies and HKSTP partner companies as their corporate mentors. The activity-packed programme has boosted the awareness of local youth of industrial development and innovative technologies, and inspired them to think outside the box, to the end of bring more new blood into the industry.
 
Invited to the closing ceremony of the programme, Dr Alfred Ng, Chief Executive Officer of SUGA, sharing his views on development of Hong Kong’s industrial and innovative industries and the programme, said, "We are very pleased to take part in this year’s programme as a corporate mentor exchanging views with young people. I could see in them the vigour and innovative spirit of Hong Kong youth. In this age with AI, Internet of Things and other technological trends thriving, we will continue to make improvement and speed up R&D of relevant technologies, so that we may offer high-quality products and services to customers, and at the same time, do our part in helping nurture more local innovation and technology talent."
